I have had a hearing loss since 1975, when I went to Miracle Ear and got the help I needed to hear in my left ear -- my first hearing aid -- which enabled me to do my work as MTKA School Supt. for the next 24 years, and continue thereafter with updated hearing aids in both ears as Lecturer of Record at the Univ. of MN. My periodic visits now in my 86th year of life enable me to function fully in family and community life; my most recent visit revealed excess wax in my right ear, which hindered my optimum hearing.
