Recently returned from a private trip to the Baltics arranged by MIR. All aspects of the trip (flights, hotels, tickets to events) went without a hitch. The drivers and guides that MIR selected were knowledgeable, and were flexible in adjusting the schedule to meet my needs. This is the 3rd trip that MIR arranged for me and all 3 were exceptional
Having studied in Japan and worked on a volunteer project in Korea fifty-eight (58) years ago, I was delighted when MIR decided to launch a Korea travel program. The itinerary, special speakers, and guides were outstanding. I highly recommend his program to those interested in seeing historical sites in Korea, but also in understanding how and why Korea's post-war redevelopment is truly a modern miracle. The country is not only extraordinarily beautiful, but the Koreans are warm, open and very welcoming.
Oh my gosh! My MIR trip to the’Stans in April 2025 was so far beyond my expectations, that I’m afraid anything else will fall short! The home visit meals, the horse and falcon demonstrations, the information given during the butt-in-the-bus time, my fellow travelers, the music and dance entertainment, and that headless goat carcass horseback team game (you have to see it to believe it) were all amazing. It is without hyperbole that I rate my first tour with MIR, Journey Through Central Asia (April-May, 2025), as the best organized tour with the most knowledgeable tour managers that I've ever been on. This includes over 40 years of traveling with other outfitters, all good to excellent, but nothing approaching the MIR quality experience. I look forward to the Trans Caucuses trip, which I've already booked for April 2026.
Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan and Tajikistan .Amazing trip arranged by MIR ,the guides were superb, many places were relatively undiscovered gems such as the devils gate ( overnighting in a yurt ),Khiva and Bukhara. What a blast ,seamless transfers, great accommodations and sites ,I cannot wait for the next adventure .
