A quite and peaceful place, good for hiking
It is not worth the trip.
The waterfalls are probably best to visit after the rainy season, at the moment there’s not much to see. the walks in the area are beautiful and worth exploring, however the roads leading to the waterfalls are atrocious; dangerous, full of massive holes, extremely narrow with some areas patched up badly and others left completely neglected. It is really disappointing to see such a well known tourist destination as Byron Bay surrounded by such unsafe roads.
Well worth the visit, great walk, last 100m gravel road been graded so 2wd is fine
