Ate here for the 1st time tonight. Got the pulled chicken, hush puppies, tater wedges, and corn bread. Everything was great.
I have eaten BBQ all over Mecklenburg and Union County. Only 3 have impressed me. Nothing special about the pulled pork. Bland, flavorless and reminded me of warm boiled meat. A good BBQ place doesn't need a sauce on the meat.... load up on the sauce if you're eating the pulled pork. Staff is friendly and the place is clean. Smoke pit in Monroe is in my top 3. Unfortunately The best BBQ places are no longer around. (Neon Pig and Improper Pig where the top 2)
Not a friendly staff, ribs were dry and the pulled pork and stew were flavorless.
