DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR HERE!!!! I did the Gibb with two girlfriends last October, our ute broke down approx 30km from Derby and we had to get towed to Minshulls. Initially they acted friendly and as if they were going out of their way to help us, then they told us the issue was the front diff and that it would need a whole replacement, they also said the diff "nearly caught fire". Pre-booked an appointment for a check over and air filter replacement ahead of the Gibb. Was told to make sure the car was in for 7:30 so the guys could jump straight on it. At lunchtime I phoned to check whether the car had been looked at yet, it sounded like it had been forgotten by the receptionist. The guys did get to the car by the end of the day replacing the air filter as requested. On pick up, I was told that all ball joints needed to be replaced. Had been quoted from another mechanic in town that my turbo and intercooler were completed fkd amongst other things. They said I can expect $7500 to fix the issue. I came to Minshull with not much hope and expected to hear the same news HOWEVER! Had the aircon pulley and belt go in our Subaru. Knowing that Broome mechanics are all booked out for weeks at Easter time, tried our luck and gave them a call. Squeezed us in the next morning and had it sorted by midday. Reasonably priced and also checked our fluids and replaced some missing bolts for us at the same time.
