I now understand why this practice has such a low rating. I saw Dr. Alapati, and my experience was extremely disappointing. She was rude, dismissive, and showed little compassion for my concerns. Given the seriousness of my appointment, I expected professionalism, empathy, and appropriate care, but instead I felt belittled and unheard. We visited Dr. Sakallah for a child psychological assessment, and it was a stunningly smooth experience! I couldn't believe they got us a same-month appointment. The child stayed positive the whole time and said the 'games' were challenging and fun. I felt listened to and like the care was capable and responsive, we learned everything we hoped to know and had clear treatment recommendations. I have been a patient of the Minneapolis location since 1997 and I was lucky to have my neurologist advocate for me after I suffered a brain aneurysm and another doctor tried to talk my children into pulling the plug while I was on life support, but my neurologist, Dr. Brodsky, said he knew that I was a survivor and to let me heal with the life support and coma and 38 days later I came out of my coma and was weaned off the life support, thank God without any cognitive deficits. Dr. Brodsky is now retired and I miss him.
