Ive been a diabetic for about 14 years now and the only insulin pumps I've ever had were medtronic. This one will also be my last. I have the 780g with the guardian 4. For some reason after a few months they refuse to connect to each other and every time I've swapped multiple sensors. But they always fail. Do not go with Medtronic if you want to have a healthy diabetic life…their sensors never last the full time…getting a replacement takes forever & don’t get me started on trying to talk to someone from Customer Service…I have been w/medtronic since my sons diabetic journey for the last 13 years & they were never this bad…obviously trying to save money so pretty sure they sent there customer service over seas…to people who don’t care to help…you are on hold for hours…they answer & claim they can’t help & transfer you to wait h... read more
After more than 20 years with MiniMed, I never thought I’d be looking at other devices, but here I am. Waiting over five hours for support is unacceptable, especially for patients who rely on this technology every day. MiniMed needs to fix its customer service and follow-through before it loses longtime customers like me.
Update: I still have not spoken to anyone at all. ..Customer service is a joke. Almost 2 plus hours on hold to get nine digit code to unlock a manager device for sensors that was accidentally locked in my father's pocket and as of now still haven't spoken to a person.
I have been on hold for over an hour waiting on customer service. Thank Good it is not a pump malfunction emergency! I called yesterday and did the callback option. No one ever called back. Medtronic customer service sucks. I just went back to this company for the new 780g system. I forgot how terrible the customer service is. Terrible. This is making me rethink my decision.
