Nice ramp to launch kayaks. Parking is $5. Great access to Kiawah River and down to The Spit to watch dolphin strandings.
Mingo Point was a great experience and highly recommend. We had my 5 year old with us as well and there was plenty for the kids to do from a scavenger hunt, to seashell painting, to dancing with the live music, and a reptile show. The food was all delicious, and of course the fresh oysters made the day. Cool down with a bit of nitrogen frozen kettle corn. We did the first seating due to having a 5 year old. Would highly recommend attending the Oyster Roast at Mingo Point on a summer Monday evening. The event offers a wide variety of food options, fantastic live music, and breathtaking waterfront views. It’s a wonderful experience for families and visitors of all ages, with a fun and welcoming atmosphere that captures the best of Kiawah Island.
Went for the Mingo Point oyster roast! Was our first time at a roast and it was so fun! You just jump into one of the standing tables and start cracking open oysters yourself. There’s also a buffet with bbq and southern cooking options. They don’t really give you directions so make sure to ask around if you need help. The bar lines were long.
