We recently visited here, but we felt that the service and food quality is not the same anymore. We ordered Mysore masala dosa and some tiffin items . The masala of the dosa didn’t feel fresh and was tasting stale while idli and vada were bit cold rather than being served hot. Disappointed for this time.
The dosa is a bit thick for my taste, but that’s just personal preference. I just wish the podi dosa had more podi - I felt they were skimping on the spice. The sambar is authentic but not especially flavourful - think of it like homemade sambar made by your less talented (in terms of their cooking abilities) relative Their palli (peanut) chutney and kobbari (coconut) chutney are also authentic and more flavourful. Overall, this is a place to go for decent but not amazing dosa.
While the ambience was great, it feels like the ownership has changed—and unfortunately, the food quality and service have gone downhill with it. This is the first time I’ve been to a South Indian restaurant that served two chutneys with idlis, neither of which was coconut chutney. When I initially asked, the staff told me coconut chutney doesn’t come with idlis, only to claim while I was paying the bill that they could have swapped it if requested.
