I’ve stayed in a lot of motels across Australia and this is certainly one of the absolute best. Service, location, and price were all excellent - you can walk to pretty much everywhere you’d want to go. But more than anything the rooms were equipped with everything you need. The fridge/freezer is huge which is rare for a motel, there’s multiple plates/glassware, great TV with all streaming services etc. It’s just all the little things that complete it that a lot of motels overlook. I'm a 50 yr old man from Toogoom, about 20km out of town,seeking a single room the other night, I had the cash which I showed the man behind the reception. But in response, I got abused, sworn at & yelled at "No locals!" I previously stayed about a fortnight before with no complaints from us or the staff. DO NOT STAY AT THIS MOTEL UN LESS YOU WANT YO FEEL BELITTLED ! Negative 5 out of 10
Clean and tidy room. Close to shops. Not too noisy despite being near a main road. I'm a return visitor to Mineral Sands Motel.
Simple affordable accommodation with nice staff and good maintenance.
Noisy with the servo opposite it. No fans and no remote to work the aircon unit! In desperate need of refurbish especially the bathroom.
