In 2018, I had surgery for a subdural hematoma and experienced post-operative complications that left me with moderate brain damage. In the months after the surgery, I received the usual physical, occupational, and speech therapies. My very first session, Kaitlyn was able to pinpoint my issue and how to get to work on fixing it. I was having difficulty with balance, and vertigo. After just a couple of sessions with PT guidance and vestibular exercises to do at home I was improving. I was nervous that the symptoms were going to be debilitating but already feel mostly back to my baseline after a little over a month.
Kaitlyn was amazing to work with. She was thorough in her assessment of my daughter status post concussion. Her in-depth knowledge about this type of injury, the individual nature of symptom presentation, and how to best move forward to allow healing helped my daughter in achieving timely return to play.
