My experience at Kwelena was overwhelmingly positive. As with any transition into an unfamiliar environment, I initially felt a degree of anxiety and uncertainty. I've been here to stabilise my mental health on many occasions, & have always felt better when discharged, great staff & very respectable to all, group meetings on weekdays BBQ on Saturdays. When coming here it's important for everyone to work on stabilising there MH within the 28 days of stay. All other people staying here has always been respectful kind & supportive. Highly recommended for your recovery. We are all in this together..
2024: I needed this service again due to deteriorating Mental Health. Sue, one of the nurses and Management had me in for an assessment so fast after I reached out to them and I was in the day after. As I had gone off my medication, they and the psychiatrist even arranged my medication to be picked up from the hospital to be recommenced slowly while I was at Kwelena. The staff have been absolutely amazing! My Case Manager, Stacey was brilliant and assisted me reaching various goals and allowing me a safe space to vent. Both ... read more

2023: I needed this service again this year as a hospital diversion. I tend to spiral once a year or so. This service is amazing! The Practitioners, nurses, group facilitator all work together as a team, and I could tell that they were all passionate about the work they do! They treat each Client as an individual and treat each person with respect. I felt safe and heard whilst staying here by each worker.
