While visiting the DeKalb Fair this week, we decided to try MiMi’s Retreat Bar instead of eating fair food. We were greeted right away when we walked in, which was a nice start. Our server was friendly and took our orders promptly. My husband had the grilled chicken sandwich, I ordered the breaded tenderloin, and we shared fries. The sandwiches were good, but the fries were a bit disappointing—very small portion for nearly $5 extra. They were thin, McDonald’s-style fries. Great food
Great home cooking! Service was fantastic!
This is my second time eating here and I could not be happier. A 2 1/2 hour drive to have the Chicken Strips was well worth it. Simply the best pieces of fried chicken I’ve ever had. Perfectly seasoned with hints of sage and a slightly sweet back flavor and not over salted. One of the best things in Auburn.
