Dr. Kang is very nice and seems knowledgeable. If I didn't have to deal with the back office for prescriptions, she would be great. However, her office staff makes it impossible to be a patient of the practice. They don't answer messages, don't deal with prescriptions, respond inaccurately or fail to answer the question being asked. Most recently I had a change in insurance and needed a pre-certification of a medication. It took five phone calls (two from another doctor's office) to get the request made. Dr Kang is thorough and compassionate. She’s overall a great gynecologist.
My appt was in January and this has been on my mind since. Like another who posted here, my former doctor retired and Dr. Kang was recommended via the practice. It was clear she did not bother to even look at the notes from my last visit with my former doctor let alone peruse my history. She asked not one question regarding my history or any concerns I may have. I had to fill her in on something that should have been glaring obvious in my chart. I really like and respect Dr Kang. She’s a straight shooter who listens well and has a heart. We’ve been through a few health concerns of mine together and I have always felt respected and well informed. She’s also very gentle with the physical work she has done with me. Great Gyno. Thanks Dr Kang!
This was my first time seeing Dr Kang, as my GYN of 20 years retired and I needed a new doctor. The GYN is not my favorite (not that it’s anyone’s favorite, lol), and I was extremely anxious. When she came into the room, I immediately felt intimidated and she was not very warm or welcoming. After I explained I am a lymphoma survivor, she asked me if I take hormones (I’m menopausal).
