Milpitas Sanitation replaced Republic for Milpitas customers in late 2017. We have had the following negative experiences so far. Increased rates. Requirement to separate trash and recycle each into 2 categories. Removal no longer includes yard waste. Doing so requires a fee. Recently I paid this fee for 2 bags and they picked up one bag but left the other. I could go on but you get the idea. If poor service continues I will consider a complaint with the city. I’m very disappointed with Milpitas Sanitation’s service.
If you have ANY other option, I recommend it. We have had nothing but problems since we hired them. Missed pick ups weekly, throwing our recycling can in their truck and driving away (got that on camera), over charging for services not performed, and continuing to charge for services that were cancelled. On top of that, when you call to remedy the situation, they make your concerns seem trite and do not resolve issues expeditiously.
I called to follow up about a skipped recycling cycle after reporting it 3 times through an online ticket and a follow up email. The trash was skipped yesterday on the entire street, so I called to inquire about that. Customer service with Monique was a bit of a headache to deal with today. I understand that she does not have the power to speak for the drivers, but it was not very professional to put the blame on me with, “ You should have asked to speak to the supervisor.
