Drove over an hour and was told it’s not open on the weekends. Understandable, but it should at least be posted with the times, not say 11-7. Bad business

We drove an hour to visit the beach - with both the website and Google saying it was open - only to get all the way here and find that it's closed because "all the lifeguards are college students and went back tons school already." If your hours are dictated by the COLLEGE school year, then please say that on the website so that I don't end up with a car of VERY sad kids. How disappointing!!

We are Springfield natives and love visiting Milnot Beach. The price can't be beat. The sand is nice and soft. The lake is clean and pleasant for swimming. I recommend bringing some sort of shade like an umbrella or canopy because it definitely gets toasty. Lots of fun activities so something for everyone.
