I was visiting from Pennsylvania, sat on my glasses, and a lens fell out. A nice lady put my glasses back together and made sure they fit. Or without even waiting! I so appreciated it.
This review is long overdue, but I wanted to share my experience with the incredibly kind and generous staff at this business. Over a year ago, I was transporting a boat from Florida to New York when my glasses fell into the water near Jekyll Island. In a pinch, I called this location, explained my situation, and gave them my contact lens prescription. I’ve been a client at Millican Eye Center for years, and every visit has been an outstanding experience. The staff are kind and helpful, always taking time with me and answering questions with a smile. Recently I went in with a pair of glasses I had sat on! The lenses were intact but the frame was beyond repair and was no longer available. Robbie went out of his way to find a compatible frame, and I’m delighted with it. Thanks, Robbie! Ordered Costas from Mullican and it took 6 weeks to get in. When I got the glasses, they were already bent. They said they sell only glasses off the shelf regardless of the condition. So apparently it took six weeks for them to “order” my glasses off their shelf! After refusing the glasses they said they would order me another pair, never heard back from Millican. Charged my insurance $800 and I paid an additional $400 for used glasses that I never received. No wonder they are going out of business in Brunswick. Millican eye... read more
