There are wonderful people who work here who are friendly and will stop to help you. As far as Backwater General Stores go this is probably one of the cleanest and well-stocked I've ever seen. They have good brands like Gerber and Swiss army knife they also have regular camping gear as well as some basic tackle. They also have local beers and the whole place is well equipped. We didn't try their food because they were closed. The eating area and facility was very clean and well lit so I would have no problem with eating here... read more

Steve is an amazing chef and not only smokes the best meat but also brews the best bbq sauce. I always take a box when I come by Rock Creek! The merch is also top quality

I can't say enough good things about Miller & Sons BBQ. The food is fantastic, plentiful and they were so easy to work with. We held a big event at the Rock Creek Lake Group Campsite and opted to have it catered, instead of having everyone make their own camp meals. We were able to pick up the food right across the street at Rock Creek Resort. I got SO many compliments on the food. Pretty much everyone went back to seconds. The brisket is as good as any I've had around Austin TX, including that of Franklin and la Barbecue. Steve has built a couple of smokers himself and is producing excellent brisket up at 10,000 feet above sea level.
