There's been a trend for the last 35-40 years in the psych industry that insurance is a derogatory word. There are a couple of reasons for this: They don't want to pay for the overhead, they find the paperwork much too difficult to manage, but I believe that their customers have a false sense that these folks are top tier analysts who feel they are worthy of gouging the public.
