My regular repair shop close by was not open at 8am when I started to drive to a doctor's appointment. The very kind owner ran a diagnostic on my engine and said it was safe to drive to the doctor's. I came back to have him work on the engine, but lo and behold, rats had chewed some wires. He fixed the wires and charged me a typical hourly fee. I am so grateful. Others could have pretended my engine need lots of work and gouged me a bundle. You would do well to have this kind man work on your car.
Be careful. He feels you out. He made a big fuss over my vehicles' electrical problem. He said that my "Type" of vehicle is difficult to work on. I know my vehicle. He used his scanner, said the cig lighter didn't work and then asked me, "How much do you want to spend, $300, $500?". ..How much I want to spend?, I replied.
