My husband went in for his welcome to medicare visit. The visit and the blood work was supposed to be at no charge per Humana. My husband was charged for his blood work. We have had two three way phone calls between Humana, MPG billing and myself. They were told by Humana there was to be no charge to us. MPG refuses to remove the charges even though they signed a contract with Humana stating what they can and cannot charge for. I had made an appointment for a preop evaluation made three weeks ago as a new patient. I have Medicare Blue Cross advantage. I was told at the time of the appointment that this was accepted and over the next three weeks I was contacted numerous times to make sure I was coming to the office via texting, email and through the phone. I needed to get this preop evaluation accomplished very quickly. Dr is good but the group billing practices are questionable. They set my mother up for appointments which she expected to be covered by her Medicare and supplement insurance only to find out she has a balance due to her insurance only covering them. No one told her that when they made appointments for her. Wonder how many other elderly patients have had it done to them. Sounds like a scam just like auto mechanics telling you that your warranty is void if you don’t rotate tires and change ac filters

As a stay at home Mom with no insurance, I used to pay upfront out of pocket for all my visits..Had been going to this office for years. Now the office tells me because of their policy they can't see me unless I have insurance. Very disappointing and upsetting..Now I have to change Drs after years of going to that office..thanks a lot Millennium physicians whose stupid idea was it to not let patients pay upfront for their visits?
