As always outstanding care from Mill Road surgery, from the incredibly kind and helpful receptionist to the brilliant Dr Carpenter.
What can I say? This surgery has to be the worst I've known in my entire 61 years. Reception staff are rude, but when aren't they, and the doctor I saw was dismissive. Trying to get an an appointment through their website, which keeps going into the NHS website , is annoying, to say the least. Repeat medications disappear and I have to have a face to face appointment if I can actually book an appointment that's convenient with my work schedule.
I have been with this surgery for 17 years & have only had professional ,efficient & empathetic treatment from All members of staff ! I have always been able to access a Dr for urgent appointments & have found the receptionists to be patient & efficient even chasing me for appointments which for a drs surgery under pressure in these times is incredible .A special mention for Dr Foley who I attended during a particularly difficult appointment on 2 occasions & she was so so kind . pharmacy are reliable & now a physio on site .... read more
Poor service, not able to see the gp even once. Every time I book an appointment they always gave me a paramedic who doesn’t know anything at all, uneducated person who doesn’t even understand the illness of the person. Appointment at 10.20 I waited 45 minutes the reason they gave me was it’s busy! instead If I were late of 3 minutes they would have cancelled my appointment. Totally Disappointed with staff at reception as well, they are deaf! They never understand whenever you ask for something
Have to book an appointment at 7:30am, don't get to select a time it is just randomly allocated to you, you cannot plan around this. How are you meant to get time off work for an appointment if you can't give any notice?
