Great spot for fishing for all ages. Bring some small hooks and worms and the kids will catch sunfish all day. You can see the pirch swimming close to the shore. I've personally caught some pretty big Bass here myself, but for that you'll need to hike to the other side or park at the falls. Theres also a resident blue heron. No bathroom access from what I've seen.
Public access to the Mill Pond and onward into Nashua Canal. 5mi round trip by kayak through the very scenic and relaxing Mine Falls park. Free parking, partial paved and dirt/gravel ramp. Waters get very weedy in summer. Shallow in spots. Non-motorized boats are safest here.
