Stayed two nights in the just-renovated Chase House in March. Room was so nice — really comfortable bed, thought-out functional design with desk and seating area, WORKING GAS FIREPLACE, oversized shower with real tile. A lot of attention to detail went into this renovation. The resort is tricky to comprehend until you're on-site, but all the facilities are within walking distance and it is nice to be able to take advantage of amenities in other buildings, like the great indoor/outdoor pools and restaurants. We booked the ski and stay package. The front desk didn’t know how to get us the ski passes. We went back a second time and after about ten minutes someone was able to get us the passes. The fireplace in our room didn’t work. We called and they did send someone to fix it and got it to work but it didn’t work again after that. I contacted the hotel about a partial refund in light of these issues - they declined but did say my feedback was valuable. The hotel property is beautiful but the service needs some work... Both adult only hot tubs were out of service and the jacuzzi in our room continuously spit out brown water during our stay. We contacted the front desk about the issue but unfortunately nothing could be done. We felt the manager was dishonest- when the front desk first contacted the manager about the jacuzzi issue, they offered to comp a night of our stay, then later denied ever making the offer.
