I came here last year even when I had some issued with paperwork. The man inspecting my car was always professional. -i returned again this year. And had an even better experience. With the friendliness, professionalism, and kindness. - as long as im on island. This is my go to spot for safety checks.
I brought my vehicle in for a safety inspection and was informed that it failed due to four issues—two of which were legitimate and two that were not. The first valid issue was that my battery was not properly secured, which was my oversight as I had not fully tightened the bolt after replacing the battery. We used this place because we bought gas here and did safety checks here. Also, it was in walking distance of our house and they could get us in that day. Our check engine light came on and after the diagnostic we were quoted a price of $2600, which when googled, was the high end of the cost of that particular service. Then he says 'Let me call you back'. He calls back in 10 minutes and it's gone up to $3600. I said nevermind. (In the meantime I called our normal faraway mechanic and got a quote of $2400). My mom recommended we go here to get our safety check done for our out of state vehicle. Sadly due to a few different random issues (our fault, not theirs), we have had to come back now a total of 3 times. The older gentleman who does the safety’s is very kind and helpful! The younger one is very rude and not helpful at all, and has made each experience more frustrating than it needs to be. This place is a SCAM! They will rob you blind. Outrageous pricing, and they took advantage of my wife. Please look at the past reviews. THEY ARE ALL 1 STAR REVIEWS. They charged me $950 to replace my serpentine belt and my Mass Air Flow Sensor (2013 Mazda CX5) I understand with a mechanic you are paying for the knowledge and skill, but the mass air flow is a 10-minute job (YouTube Showed me this) and the part was $100 from O’Reilly’s.
