The cabins are very rustic and charming. Every one is different. All have lake access with a small dock. The beds are clean and relatively comfortable. The restaurant is not very good. Fortunately, there's a stove and dishes in the cabins.

Ein Ort zum Abschalten und gleichzeitig eine Reise in die Vergangenheit und Einfachheit. Hier wird das Essen mit Liebe gemacht, muss aber genug Zeit haben.

This was an excellent choice being close to the Kejimkujik National Park where we had spent the day hiking. The rustic cabins had all the basic amenities needed - even to light a fire in the evening. The setting by the lake was idyllic and quiet. Beds were comfortable, good hot water, adequate towels and some kitchen basics. I liked the idea of the "food plan" as there are no cafes, shops in the area. Update after another stay - this time our first winter stay! This was our fourth visit and first winter stay at Milford House, and having visited more than once before, it was so special to experience this place in a completely different season. Winter brings a quiet, cozy kind of magic that makes everything feel even more peaceful and intimate.
