Having a great time filming and photoing Northfork Southern freight trains and occasional Amtrak trains passing a very comfortable cozy cabin at Milepost 142 in Thompsontown, PA.
Was a cool little place, bout 50 ft from the tracks. We seen well over 60 to 70 trains over 3 days. We will definitely be back!
All the comforts of home. Rails in front of the house, an added bonus
Very awesome and unique experience! We rented unit #3 with the full kitchen. It was perfect. We relaxed all weekend with zero issues. The cabin is gorgeous and pretty much sound proof. The trains cause zero sleeping issues! Nice picnic area and fire pit. Scenery is peaceful and serene. We saw deer and even a bald eagle flying over the river. We can't wait to schedule our next visit.
