I came in at 8am to try and get an appointment for today. Was told there were openings and that I would be contacted by the care team. Was contacted at 9:55am, confirming my complaints and gave additional information. Was contacted again at 12:14pm and told that they were not going to have me come in because there is nothing that they can do for me. ON the 28th of July while on vacation in Milbridge Maine I accidentally severely cut my hand, I am on blood thinners and was bleeding badly. I went to the medical center and asked if they could look at it to see if I needed stitches and provide advise.. I offered to pay whatever . They refused to look at my hand and said they were to busy and I had no appointment.They told me to go to Ellsworth about and hours drive. I have had the very best of care from Dr. Barbee and her support staff at Milbridge Medical Center for over 12 years. I highly recommend them!
I’ve been a patient at the Milbridge Medical Center since 1974. My two children were cared for from birth, one still a patient there, at age 30. My 94 year old mother has also been a patient there since 1974. She and I both currently see Dr. Kristin Barbee and cannot express how grateful we are for her attentive care and willingness to educate us about all aspects of our health and medications.
