Miklat is a wonderful program. It’s well run and supported by outstanding staff and counsellors, with great facilities.
My 48 year old son was fortunate to choose and attend this recovery house. Miklat was one of many my son attended over the years, but the one that provided what my son required. His head was inclined towards treatment, which helped, but it was the treatments themselves which helped my son. He was provided with guidance, nutrition, alternative therapies, and encouragement. The house stinks, people sleep on the couches ,it's a dump, save your money and go somewhere else , if they don't like you on comes the read between the lines ,the clients lie and make up stories to have you kicked out,that's bullying ,once again steer clear. And I heard they pay people too make good reviews,they kicked me out at 8 pm they said I was threatening and making threatening comments .not true I'm a 60 year old man , it's very repetitive therapy steer clear.
Miklat is a wonderful place for a struggling addict to start there journey into recovery. Their treatment centre has a perfect balance of programing and recreation. The staff at Miklat make you feel like a friend, not a client. The location of Miklat is perfect your very close to town, everything you need for essentials is with in walking distance (gym, supermarkets etc) but your also far enough outside of town that you can adventure through some beautiful trails right down to the ocean.
