I like Johnsons for the most part. Theyre pretty accomodating. The guy at the counter, I think his name is Jim, has an attitude that is off-putting. He speaks to my husband differently than me, or when were together, he looks right past me and speaks only to my husband, and funny thing is, THIS IS MY BOAT! I had a boat at Johnsons for 20 years. Mostly just Winter storage including hauling in the Fall and into the water in the Spring.I found the service to be good and the personnel to be curtious. After going to a trailer motorboat several years ago, I still get a greeting from the long time employees.At one time I had to change the motor mount on my saiboat and was having difficulty reaching the bolts from inside. As a customer of Johnsons boat yard, for the last seven years, To store your boat at Johnsons is more expensive than other yards in the fingerlakes and I can truly say that the attitude at Johnsons, specifically. the by the owners, is apathetic, at best, toward you and your boat. Bottom line is that they are completely focused on getting your money and doing the least amount of work for it! Save yourself and your boat time and money, check out other yards. Wow, this is eye opening about Johnsons! There is a clear message that is being sent by their customers. I hope they are listening. I have owned a boat for 7 years in Ithaca area and never used their services or goods. I have always used other places inthe area with mixed results. Just have not had the opportunity. I will say I will be wary. Two comments, a lack of a website(even see their hours) and adequate response to the comments posted is is telling and a bad sign. Horrible and rude customer service from the staff behind the counter. Any other marina is better, do not patronize unless you like verbal abuse.
