I heard about Mike's from a friend. The store isn't the greatest to look at but you can't judge a book by it's cover. I bought new sofa set from them and I couldnt believe the price. I found the same set down the street for almost double the price. I have had the set for about 5 months and I couldn't be happier with it. I will be going back for a bedroom set in the next couple months!
I purchased 3 frigs and 3 stove for an apt building I owe. I spent over $1,000 with this Mike's Furniture. I thought it would be a good buy to purchase used from a family owned business. Boy was I wrong...first I drove to the store, parking is horrible double parked cars everywhere, then I entered the store horrible customer service. The guy got my order wrong several times and even tried to blame me for his mistake. Totally Horrible.. – I placed a service call for an appliance. The gentleman made an appointment for a later week day from 8 to 3pm. Eventhough it was my day off, I woke up early, kept my phone handy all this time. I called around 1:30pm to findout where the service man is?? Was really pissed to find out there was no appointment and they don't even come out this way for servicing. The guy was a rude a**. No manners of any kind, no explanation. Forget about an apology.. STAY AWAY frm these creeps.

Well what can i say this furniture store has been around a long time and it has been a blast doing business with them. I was first introduced to them thru a relative who was doing business with them back in the 80's. The appliances they have are in good quality. I purchased a washer, dryer, 3 refridgerators and 2 stoves over my lifetime from them and they all stood the test of time. They didnt blow out i just gave them away to upgrade. BEST FURNITURE AND USED APPLIANCES IN CHICAGO – I WENT TO MIKE'S FOR THE FIRST TIME LAST WEEK. I HAVE TO SAY THAT THE PRICES ARE UNEBATABLE AND THE SERVICE IS WONDERFUL. You get what you pay for! Terrible customer service! – I found a dresser and nighstand and provided my address and phone number and was told they would arrive the following Tuesday. I called that morning at 8am to confirm my delivery and correct phone number.I confirmed my keypad entry number. By 3pm it had not arrived.
