Brought my bike in because my front derailleur was having issues. When I came to pick the bike up, I paid the full amount but when I was riding it home it still wasn't shifting. I returned to the shop and the mechanic put the bike on the bench and insisted that because the gears shift when not under load there was no issue. It's great that they managed to get the gears to shift on the bench, but it doesn't change the fact that they don't shift while I am riding. I've lived in Berkeley for years and have purchased several bikes from Mike's Bikes and gone in there for service help many times. I used to think that the service department was terrible. The service people were unhelpful, everything took too long and cost too much. It was to the point that I started going elsewhere for service for a few years.
