Took my '08 Escalade here to have a remanufactured transmission installed because they were willing to install one that I purchased from Street Smart Transmissions. The process was easy, the transmission arrived a day after I ordered it, I dropped off the vehicle the next day and picked it up the following day. They were even able to flash the transmission so it worked with my engine. This saved me a LOT of money. Time will tell on the reman but that is not the shop's problem. My truck with a V8 engine was making a weird loud noise with a black and heavy smoke coming out of it. I went to a couple of "Big Name" repair shops. I was told the engine needs to be replaced and would cost close $6000 to repair the car. I wanted a third opinion and went to Mike's Auto Repair. Not only did they not insist that the motor needs to be replaced, they were able to fix the engine. It costed me a fraction of what the Big Name shops were asking, saving me thousands. This place is great. They do quality , efficient work. They let you know exactly what needs to be taken care of and want to show you the work that they have done. They have a great mindset in my opinion ( at least on my OLD vehicle) fix what is needed to get you running first, but also let you know what you might want to take care of next. I have dealt with the previous owner and the new and they have always been great experiences. This is a great business in East Saint Paul.
After running into a few bad auto shops around the Twin Cities, I finally have found a place I trust in Mike's Auto Repair. Honest and Fair quotes. This is the only place I trust bringing my vehicle to now. Keep up the great work!
