Family had best meal we have had in Shasta here. I like the atmosphere here too and the folks who were serving us. Thank you very much. Will be back.
I love Mke & Tony's and I've been in several times over the years but man, the other night was pretty disappointing... The salad was full of rotten leaves. We sent it back and asked for another and the server kind of whispered that she'd had a look at the other greens and that they were all not looking so good! Yikes! Meatballs on toast is fun but not really all that tasty. Pork chop was OK but the lemony sauce was pretty gross, tasted artificial. It seems like maybe some local teen is subbing in as chef. It was quite busy on a Wednesday evening in February. The wait for a party of four was less than 5 minutes, the food was very good, and the service was excellent. Good access on and off Highway 5.
