Well, If they would just respond to me, I would work with them, but they refused to even respond to my requests after the work was done. I can't say I worked with Mike, but I did work with Kenny, though I did talk with Mike during the process. It is not a vendetta, nor am I mistaken as Mike Folsom Construction in Ocala is who I wrote my checks to, and it was Kenny that came on site that quoted and supervised the work. This comment is directed at "by Jim in Ocklawaha, FL on May 22, 2011". I just went to the Marion County Building Dept. contractor look up and reviewed every single permit pulled by Mike Folsom Construction LLC during the years 2010-2011. Not a single permit was pulled for a homeowner named "Jim" or "James." This leads me to believe that you are either mistaken about the contractor you hired for your deck job or you are simply on here for some personal vendetta against someone with this company. Mike and Kenny have built 2 pools for me. They are very good at keeping you informed during the process. Both of my pools came out perfect and within my budget. Mike Folsom Construction builds an excellent pool with state of the art technology and equipment. Kenny and Mike surround themselves with the best people in the business. Their solar heat sub-contractor and screen room builders are as good in their fields as Mike Folsom Construction is in building the perfect pool. If you are thinking about using this contractor - do yourself a favor and get multiple referrals. They did pool deck work for me and withing 90 days it started chipping, peeling, and cracking, and they refuse to come out and repair or even acknowledge the problem.
