Not safe. They helped the social worker make money. Covered up the abuse and tried to put blame on the parents. And then called it success and said the child graduated the program. Sick.

Terrible place with horrible rules. You lose points if you do something wrong. It’s not a good place for therapy if you’re doing the day treatment program. You have to raise your hand all the time and if you don’t have enough points they don’t feed you much. They use a rewards system to get you to behave, which it doesn’t work. Although mikan at one point might have been really good for people, when I attended it wasn’t good. Staff have used harmful therapeutic methods including lying and manipulation to get the children to talk. Forcing children to discuss trauma they aren’t comfortable discussing at the time. Using methods similar to attack therapy. They also use a lot of methods of behaviorism. They use a grading and reward points system as a behavior chart, and have participants read their daily feedback and points out loud to the group. They h... read more
