Dr Riviera took away the awful sciatica pain I had in my left hip. I was in such bad pain and he relieved me of it and I thank him so much for that. He is a well-qualified doctor
I am a Dr Rivera fan. He listens to my issues. Makes a recommendation and follows through. He's not big on small talk. :) As with any doctor, it is best to spend some time writing out exactly your meds, prior conditions and present issues, adding as much detail as possible to ensure that communication is complete. Hand the nurse your sheet and go over it with her...she then can show it to the doctor who now can walk in informed about your stuff and we don't have to remember everything we wanted to say under pressure.
I was referred to him for pain management. I had an mri for his review. He came in with a bad attitude, barely reviewed my mri, didn’t listen to me regarding my pain, offered nothing constructive to alleviate my pain, referred me to a surgeon and walked out with his bad attitude intact.
My 93 mom has been successfully treated twice within the last 5 years by Dr Rivera for SI joint pain. Before the injection she had to use a wheelchair to get into doctors’ offices. Now she is able to walk even without a walker. I am grateful that Dr Rivera was so patient and kind to my mom. We are lucky to have him in this community.
