Dr. Katerina is one of the best ocular oncologist
Dr. Materin saved my daughter’s life. There is not enough that I can say about how caring and professional he was. When my daughter was diagnosed with cancer he helped our family through the very difficult time and we put complete trust in his abilities. I am so grateful.
Absolutely phenomenal Doctor. We have been working with Dr. Materin for over 2 years now for my son's Bilateral Retinoblastoma. Dr. Materin and his team have put in so much effort for my son. At the start, we were anticipating my son's eye needing to be removed, but between treatments, the care and dedication to help him, my son was able to keep his eye and a majority of the cancer has been killed off. So my daughter is 2 and has retina blastoma. I have never seen a doctor so hard to get in touch with in my life. I never get called back when I ask it’s taking me months to try to get a hold of this man and I’m sure it’s not his fault, but at the same time if you have too many patients and you can’t call them back then that tells you maybe you should lighten your patient load however, my experience with Duke at this point in life I wish I had taken her somewhere else because I wouldn’t take my dog to duke I heard such wonder... read more
