Unbelievable home-cooked food — with desserts that sell out fast everyday so come in early to check them out. Pan-fried cod is out of this world, as are all the Newfoundland specialties (especially the toutons!). The atmosphere is warm and friendly, the service is superb, the décor is charming. There is nowhere like it — an authentic Newfoundland family restaurant, pet-friendly with an outdoor patio. Great food choices for all ages. Licensed for beer and wine. Good idea to reserve a table if you can. Very highly recommend.
Fresh, homemade specialties starting with a hearty breakfast and ending with pub fare into the evening. Locally owned and delicious.
Amazing food! First time ever in Bonavista and this place certainly didn't dissapoint. Lovely and accomodating staff as well. The brisket sandwich and cod bites were a nice surprise and the flavours blew me and my friends away. The key lime pie slice was also delicious; not too sweet or heavy. 11/10 would come back if I visited Bonavista again!
Nice home atmosphere and friendly hostesses. We had the Newfie sampler platter with a bunch of different local foods that were really tasty. We also got the chicken Parmesan that came with pasta. Also very good. And since it is a tea establishment, we also had some bakeapple tea.
Went for supper as a family of four. My kids ordered lemonade and were enthralled when it was brought to them in a little tea pot of their own. This place has a cozy, small town atmosphere with piles of adorable tea items to admire, all while delivering excellent food. The seafood chowder, touton, seafood linguine, pot roast and chicken parm were all huge hits at the table. This is a not to miss place to dine, and when we make it back here one day, it will be at the top of the list for a stop!
