We took my dog here for general check up. They were great. My dog started getting sick and they got her scheduled for the following day. Due to increased concern for our dog we took her to the vet hospital and then followed up again at Midwest. Her health started to decline so she had some test done. When I received the call about her results the staff was very caring and compassionate, explained everything to me and what the possible causes for the tests mean. 0 stars if I could. My cat was diagnosed with diabetes and we followed what the “doctor” wanted us to do. We had our 8 pound cat so she says on 8 units of insulin at one point since “he can have up to 8 units due to 1 unit per pound”. He’s currently on 2 units prescribed by a new doctor and doing well so? But we were checking his glucose every other day as said by her, relayed the information (me calling she never checked in on us) even though it takes time for call backs from her, changed the dose every other day like she s... read more
If I could I would rate ZERO stars. My family was told to give my diabetic cat 1 unit of insulin per pound of body weight by the vet (meaning 8 units TWICE A DAY) my cat had seizures and we had to bring him to a emergency vet where we were told he was only supposed to have 1-2 units overall. He had insulin overdose and had to spend the night in the emergency vet. I’m disgusted and the fact that the vet tech backed up the vet.
I love this vet hospital! Staff is friendly and so good with my dogs.
