The sales person turned absolutely awful after a couple weeks. When the electric was done they burned out 2 tvs,a Xbox 1, refrigerator and the stove twice. I replaced it once and it cost me close to $300 and it’s out again. My electric was supposed to be a total upgrade and it wasn’t until it burned up more things leaving my house smelling like burnt wires and the person they sent out to fix it even stated he was the roofer guy not a electrician. The installation went good, the subcontractor used great technician's, friendly and helpful and the system went in without any issues. My wife and I are very happy, and even happier when we looked at our impact on the environment and the money that we are able to save. Clearly, solar is the wave of the future and we are happy to be part of it.
We had our panels installed in February. They are still not activated. The installers did not get the proper permits so the final county inspection cannot happen. It has taken us months to get some sense of what happened, and we only we able to do that through talking to Cook County, who have been more responsive and more helpful than Midwest Solutions. We have made calls, texts, emails to Midwest Solutions. Our sales rep is the only person who talks to us and just keeps saying he's forwarding our messages on. No one in mana... read more
The installation went ok, the subcontractor they used did not know Cook County electric codes. Be very wary of what they represent to you. We had to have our solar panels removed and re installed to facilitate the roof replacement. Even though we have a lease that states we are responsible, our representative misrepresented to us in writing and verbally that they would take care of the panel removal and reinstallation.
