This doctor did not repair my retina and left me with permanent damage.
I am a nurse and tend to be rather picky about the doctors who care for me. Dr Patel is professional yet in a relaxed and friendly manor and takes time to explain options and the surgery. I had a macular pucker which was like seeing through Saran Wrap and it is completely gone! There may be a wait at your appointment but as stated in another review it may be because he has emergency surgery to reattach someone’s retina. You can wait while he saves someone’s vision right?
There is almost zero continuity of care. I saw so many people. Not the same twice.
Took care of my emergency eye surgery day after Christmas. Long wait times are a condition of Dr. Patel's field of medicine. I know someone waited while he took care of my emergency - a detached retina. Great doctor, great results after a scary (for me) surgery.
I had an appointment with Dr Patel and instead Upon arrival was told I would see his Fellow, Dr Anderson, who didn’t address my concerns at all. I hate to leave a bad review but I will not be going back.
always able to explain and answer my questions which reassured me a lot. He was kind, informative and supportive . He was highly recommended by several people including my PCP and other physicians. My vision has improved significantly since my surgery
