I have been a Midwest electric customer for 6-7 years .Prices per kilowatt hour are out of control . I am paying 13x cents a kilowatt hr .It used to be $.10 per kilowatt hour, which was still three or four cents per kilowatt hour higher than the local competition (AEP) , Just up the road from me, my brother-in-law pays 7.5 cents a kilowatt hour through AEP.I heat my home with WOOD .Yet I see $500 + electric bills .
