As a first time emergency visit, I couldn’t have asked for any better care! My 6 mo old chinchilla sounded as if she was whimpering when she was breathing. We never ran into this problem in the past with our other chinchilla. With all research, they appeared to be the best hospital in the Chicagoland area with exceptional hours of availability. Always a pleasant experience.
Our bearded dragon began displaying some concerning symptoms on a weekend afternoon. We were lucky to find this facility was open and accepting emergency patients. All the staff was excellent. Dr Lopez did a very thorough exam, helped rule out the most concerning possibilities, and everybody was very forthcoming about costs along the way. I can’t avoid mentioning Wyatt, I believe a vet tech, who could not have been more helpful explaining all the meds we were taking home and how to safely administer them to our girl. I've had a guinea pig die after waiting 2 hours for an emergency appointment because they didn't think it was an emergency and they continued to take regular appointments. Thankfully the guinea pig i took in today didn't have an emergency, he had a scheduled appointment. But I still waited while countless animals came in and out. After an hour of still waiting someone came in for a bird appointment cause it had been laying eggs. They were able to go right in and be seen immediately (i heard the doctor in the next room).
