I took my 85 year old mom in for a scheduled ct scan today (abdominal pain) and they found a perforated ulcer with a pocket. We were instructed to get her to the ER at Piedmont Medical center immediately. We arrived on a pretty slow Thursday afternoon, she was triaged and received IV access. Its been 3 hours, everyone that came after has come and gone, and we are still waiting. Is this normal?
I went in for having a racing heart beat out of my chest. Nothing could slow it down. The paremedics quickly got me to the er. I don't usually leave bad reviews. I hate doing it. At one of the scariest times of my life I felt so neglected. The paramedics were amazing that got me there. came to the ER because I’ve been throwing up for three days haven’t ate and barely drink anything. when we got here, they took me back, took my blood took my vitals. Asked me questions then put me back in the waiting room also gave me a pee cup to pee in. Their bathrooms are disgusting and they make you use the public bathroom to get your pee sample. i waited from 3 to 9 pm and never got saw a second time to actually evaluate why i was actually there besides just vitals. If I could give Piedmont Midtown Emergency Room a “0”, I would. I brought my 76-year old mother to the emergency room for severe edema in both her legs due to she is currently taking a steroid, as she has a brain tumor. She is also prepared to have a biopsy at Piedmont Midtown. We arrived on Monday, January 12th approximately at 7:15 pm and it is now 4:51 am, Tuesday, January 13th and we’re still here!
