I used to have good luck with Midland Tire... Not anymore. Everything they quote me is hundreds of dollars more than the competition. I had them look and a possible wheel bearing failure. Upon inspection, they told me my transfer case needed to be rebuilt and my front brakes we shot, including the calipers. The funny thing is, I had just replaced my from brake calipers a week earlier. This was the final straw for me

I cannot believe how bad I just got robbed. The only reason I came here was because I needed my tensioner assembly and serpentine belt replaced after they gave out while going down the highway. I bought my own parts at Circle auto, and when I went to Midland tire I asked them how much it would be. They said it was going to be 200 dollars for 30 minutes worth of work. I couldn't believe it. I have purchased 1-2 sets of tires a year from Midland Tire for many years. Apparently they don't value my business. I was quoted a price on the phone for repairs (which was in line w/ competition's price), then charged $300 more. I questioned this and the manager repeatedly told me that I misheard him and that he NEVER makes that mistake...ever. Well, I will never make the mistake of using this business again. Warning: get it in writing and price shop the competition.

Is this the worst tire business in Midland? I was driving though Midland and noticed that one of my tires was losing air. I stopped at Midland Tire because they're on the corridor through town. I was told that the average cost to fix a tire was $20, so I asked them to look at it. Immediately after dismounting the tire they wanted to sell me a new one, even though the tires on my vehicle are in good shape. Dont do biz with these guys, they will screw you every time if you go there. I had them fix a tire for me, they charge more than anyone else in town but I went there cuzz its close. They claim they fix every tire from the inside . Later I found that they had put a plug in it, and it started leaking, a month or two later, then I had someone else fix it, stayed there while he did the work, he fixed it right from the inside, and charged me five bux for it, after midland tire charged me twenty for their plug fix.

Although this business did a satisfactory job replacing my muffler at the cost of $440 for parts and labor for a dual exhaust; they charged me $160 in diagnostics. Including $42 to remove my battery to do the diagnostic and replace it. $42 to simply take my battery out and put it back later. Each diagnostic they ran was worth $60 to them. I was charged $160 and had absolutely nothing to show for it. Nothing had been fixed or replaced for that amount of money. I will never go back to this garage. Bought tire online and they suggested Midland Tire to get them installed. Quick and friendly service and price was exactly same as online dealer told me. Love my new Nokian tire.

I went to Midland tire and had a partially ok experience, they did fix my tire ok, When I asked him to put the spare tire away, he wanted more money, I have never in forty years of driving had a tire guy ask for more money to put a tire away. I suggest you try the competitors. I will NOT return to that store unless they are drastically more competitive than anyone else. Brand new tires are available elsewhere, and no matter what, they have competitors that match prices, so there is no use for these guys to do this. My neighb... read more
