Mauro hosts undoubtedly the best hotel in Castlemaine! Prepare for a warm welcome, a tour of the building, and even help with your bags. The suite we stayed in was incredible. The living and dining room even came stocked with snacks and drinks, and even bread, salami and cheese for breakfast. There was a kettle and a Nespresso machine too. Great place, remarkable architecture, great bedroom and bathroom, warm welcome from the owner all in all a stunning few days stay.
super charming, beautiful accomodation run by Mauro and Anne who are really nice and easy going, they make you feel very welcome. they also run the Maurocco Bar which is awesome and very charming and laid back
I had the budget room which was clean spacious, value for money and old style. The only thing which was bad was the ancient air conditioner which was so noisy that it was impossible to sleep with it switched on. This isn't good when it's 6 degrees outside. Please proveide some panel heaters!!! Dinner was excellent 👌 tasty, good quality and I had the best vegetarian gnocchi ever!
