I was trying to find help for someone for nearly a month, I spoke to doctors, rang help lines until I was recommended Medicare emergency mental health. I did not know they existed & thank god I found them. It was an emergency & they were able to shine the first sign of light in a dark situation. They also had so many other options to help & reassurance. Inside the building is so welcoming. As someone struggling I was referred by my doctor to this place while I didn’t mind waiting a month for my appointment when it came to the day before the scheduled appointment it was cancelled so we rescheduled for two days later just for it to be cancelled again 3 hours before my appointment. I now have to wait another month to even be given available times to book once again. Extremely frustrating like what’s even the point in getting help these days in Australia.
