Increase rent by 25% after 2 months and require 30 move out notice. This place is a scam and a leech on society. They need to be held accountable for their practices.

After renting from them for a year or so. I would NOT suggest anyone to rent from this place at all!! They raise rent ever 3 months to the point my rent is almost double to what it was. And the unit price starting out is still the same! They give you some that it's based on the market but the market has not changed! So I went to close my account with them and they still made me pay for an extra month!!! So now my unit has been sitting empty for 2 months! And I'm still having to pay on it! I rented a unit on Feb 29 2024 from ******* AL location. Lease was for $60 a month for a 10x15. It has been less than 2 full months and I received an email stating that they were raising the rate from $60 a month to $143 a month. There is absolutely no excuse for this other than pure greed. How can any company expect to keep clients when the s**** over their customers like this? This is about the location specifically. When picking up our 2 12ft trailers to move out of state, my father was parking his vehicle, and I was inside getting the information on my rental. My father witnessed an individual moving the 12-foot trailer that I would be taking, at which point he scraped the side of my vehicle. If I could give them zero stars, I would. Prior to the acquisition by Midgard, I’ve rented from ********* a couple of times for the same July-August storage need. I set up automatic payment on my credit card. This year, we had to deal with Midgard. The rental process was onerous. They only service I could get was reaching out to the local office. We used the storage unit from July 15th-August 19th and paid for two full months. I contacted the office on Monday, August 21st to let them know that we vacated and put the lock key... read more

I have been renting a storage unit since 08/22 and have paid every month, on April 12 I was surprisingly hospitalized for heart issues, unaware of this I end up having a emergency quadruple bypass (two main and two arterial ) . Springfield location:All new staff, changes of rules and lockouts are on a whim. They don't follow their own policies and procedures. Lock people out of unit before bill is due so they can look good on their financial reports with no regard to legalities of their own contracts. Totally gone downhill since management changed.
