The check-in kiosk system is ridiculous. Elderly patients having to fumble for license and scanning every time they visit (even a few days apart) just to announce they are present (after pre-registering online) while two receptionists are sitting behind the desk. I have never seen this before and hope it’s not a trend. It’s the one reason (so far) that I would consider a different practice!
I just met with Veronica Barboza, one of the Nurse Practioners at GastroHealth in Acton. It was a follow up after my colonoscopy, and it was one of the most detailed follow ups I have ever had. Veronica explained everything to me, drew pictures, walked through all my meds and made many recommendations. She spent a considerable amount of time with me making sure I had all my questions answered. I would highly recommend Veronica, as well as GastroHealth in Acton, MA.

I had a new patient appt scheduled this morning and upon my arrival after an hour drive I was told my appt had been cancelled due to the provider being sick. Their explanation was they had tried to call me the night before but my voicemail was full. I thought it was an automated appt reminder and didn't think anything of it. When asked why they didn't try calling me this morning, the front desk staff said "well, we did call last night".
